Bulk carrier to suction hopper

Our customer was looking for a fast and efficient way to convert its bulk carrier into a suction hopper dredger. 
Stagro Hydraulics was awarded the project to supply the complete hydraulic system including piping, control, and power transmission to all hydraulic components.

  • Total cooling capacity:    approx. 400 hp [300 kW]
  • Circulation pump:    400 gal/min [1,500 L/min]
  • Total installed capacity was distributed as follows:
  • 4 x 335 hp [250 kW]    (4 x 240 gal/min [900 L/min])
  • 2 x 74 hp [55 kW]     (2 x 43 gal/min [160 L/min])
  • 2 x 15 [11 kW]     (2 x 7 gal/min [28 L/min])
